Pumped Up Kicks -- Pumped Up Hype!

     So most teenagers have heard of the Indie band, Foster The People.  Their main hit song, "Pumped Up Kicks" has seemingly taken the world by storm.  But who is this new band? 

     Foster The People consists of these awesome guys:

• Mark Foster (vocals, keyboards, piano, synthesizers, guitar, programming, percussion.)
• Mark Pontius (drums, extra percussion)
• Cubbie Fink (bass, backing vocals)

     Just a little background, the band was formed back in 2009, and was originally called "Foster & The People", but naturally, some people can't hear if their life depended on it.  So, the band was then announced as Foster The People, & the band seemed pretty cool with that name too. :)

     The music can be described as a very chill & relaxed, yet upbeat sound completely unique to the rest of the music industry. (Thank goodness)  After being first introduced, many people are left confused, yet slightly curious about their music.  After hearing it a second time, though, 99% of the listeners are completely & totally addicted to Foster The People, myself included.  

     Some fun facts about their hit, Pumped Up Kicks: 

• "Pumped Up Kicks" has reached Number 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart
• It's Number 3 on the Rock Songs tally 
• It's also Number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
